Summer Solstice Music Line-Up
Bring a blanket and sit back to sing along to some amazing tunes.
Broomsticks + Hammers | 5:30pmWinners of the 2016 Folk/Roots Jack Richardson London Music Award, Broomsticks & Hammers continues and builds on the folk/roots tradition of taking songs grounded in stories of the human condition and treating these stories with great musicianship and exciting band dynamics. On record, the songs shine through alongside the band’s keen ear for thoughtful and sometimes quirky musical treatments. Live, the force of a seven-piece unit comes to the fore as the band traverses folk, rock, country, and even a little jazz and blues with ease.

Pacanomad | 4:15pmHailing from London, Ontario, Pacanomad are a charismatic Indie Rock/Alt Soul band that blurs lines between grit and passionate storytelling. Their latest album, "Take It Slow", conjures up images of smoke-filled clubs reached through back alleys and down steps. Chantel Rivard's voice haunts, attracts, and ties everything together.

Ben Heffernan | 3:15pmBen Heffernan is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from London, Ontario. After winning the Taylor Mitchell Bursary at Folk Music Ontario around the release of his first EP, Different Wars, Heffernan followed it up in 2018 with the release of another collection, “Home”, his first Ontario tour, and appearances at various Canadian folk festivals. His cover of Tom Petty’s Angel Dream was included on the Canada Covers Tom Petty compilation. The future appears to be bright for this young artist, who is determined to continue to build his name and to establish himself as an exciting emerging singer-songwriter in Canada.

Eric Cormier | 2:15pmEric Cormier, your friendly neighbourhood barista! In the past, Eric sang and travelled with great choirs including Amabile Mens Ensemble, a choir he was a part of for eleven years. After a move to Toronto and back, Eric learned a lot through small gigs and playing on the streets in the city. Nothing thrills Eric more than to make people caffeinated and happy (granted he doesn't know the difference)... and to sing and entertain. Working in coffee shops lets him have a great atmosphere to set up a chair and a guitar and casually play music while everybody works on their laptops and he wouldn't change that for anything. |
